To count roofing sheets, divide the length of each roof slope by the sheet's effective width and round up, then order each sheet in the slope length plus overhang. For a shophouse roof 8 m long with two 4.5 m slopes using 11-wave sheets (1.0 m cover), you need 8 sheets per slope, 16 in total, each about 4.6 – 4.8 m long.

Step 1: choose the profile

ProfileEffective width
5 waves1.00 m
6 waves0.95 m
11 waves1.00 m
Roof tile0.96 m

Step 2: count sheets per slope

Roof length 8 m ÷ 1.0 m = 8 sheets per slope. With 6-wave sheets it would be 8 ÷ 0.95 = 8.4, so 9 sheets.

Step 3: set the sheet length

Measure from ridge to eave along the slope (4.5 m) and add the eave overhang, for example 10 – 30 cm. Order one length per slope so there are no end laps.

Step 4: screws and ridge

Roof area 2 × 8 × 4.5 = 72 m². At 4 – 5 screw sets per m², order 290 – 360 sets. The ridge is 8 m long; with 0.96 m usable ridge pieces that is 9 pieces.
