Yes, ASA PVC roofing sheets cut cleanly with a fine-tooth saw when the sheet is supported on both sides of the cut. Painting is not needed: the color is in the ASA top layer, which Santiago rates for 30 years of color fastness. If you want a different color, order it rather than painting over the ASA layer.
Cutting cleanly
- Use a fine-tooth hand saw or a circular saw with a fine blade.
- Support the sheet on both sides of the cut.
- Cut in mild temperatures where possible; very cold plastic is more brittle.
- Remove burrs so the laps sit flat.

Why not paint?
The ASA layer is chosen because it keeps its color in sun. Paint over it adds a coat that can peel and needs renewing. Choose the color at ordering; ask for a physical sample, because screens do not show color accurately.
Storing on site
Keep sheets flat on level supports, out of direct sun until installed, and covered so heat does not build up between stacked sheets.
