A Santiago FRP stair set is made of FRP treads, handrails and landings joined with 304 stainless steel bolts. It gives access to storage tanks, cooling towers, working platforms and factory roofs in places where steel stairs rust quickly. FRP stairs need no painting and do not conduct electricity.

Why not steel stairs?

Outdoors, beside chemical tanks or near the sea, steel stairs rust first at the treads and feet. Thin, rusted treads can break under a person, and steel stairs need repainting again and again. FRP parts are light, so they are easy to carry to site and bolt together.
